Metal Works

Examples of these metal works are the two small gates of the communion rail leading to the altar. Each gate is designed with cast bronze at the center, one depicting a lamb and the other, a swan.

Metal sculptures of bronze, frontal altarpieces, wrought iron grille gates, dividers, chandeliers, and other forms of metal craft give elegance and style to the Manila Cathedral interior as they combine with the finest marbles, the precast concrete ornaments, and stained glass windows.

From the sanctuary, the passage leading to the sacristy can also be viewed through the intricately designed metal works of wrought iron. Equally noticeable are the metal grille gates protecting the Chapel of Sto. NiƱo and the Chapel of Ina Boon Bato.
