The March of the Saints was held at the Manila Cathedral-Basilica (MCB) on October 31, 2014.
It started with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 3:00 P.M., presided by His Excellency, Bishop Bernardino Cortez, D.D., Auxiliary Bishop of Manila and now Bishop-Elect of the Prelature of Infanta, Quezon.
During his homily, Bp. Cortez reiterated that the day before the celebration of All Saints Day should not be characterized by bringing fear to people through dressing like the creatures of the darkness, like ghosts, witches, vampires, etc. Instead, it should be characterized by bringing happiness, hope and love to people because they are what all the saints had striven to do during their lifetime.
After the mass, the March of Saints followed starting from the MCB and proceeded by going around the Plaza Roma and ended by coming back to the front facade of the MCB. The said March was brought to conclusion by the singing of “Hail Mary,” Final Prayer and Blessing led by Bp. Cortez.
Group picture taking came next. After the picture taking, the participants of the March of the Saints went to Fort Santiago for the Program and Fellowship.
The March of the Saints was organized by the Prayer Warriors of the Holy Souls and financed by the Monfort Foundation, Inc. headed by Mrs. Carmen Monfort. MNCC
